Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) / Final Random Inspection (FRI)
Verify your products before they leave the factory.
A Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) - also known as a Final Random Inspection (FRI) - is your last line of defense to ensure your goods meet all agreed specifications, are properly packed, and ready for safe delivery.
Performed when 100% of products are completed and at least 80% are packed, PSI helps you catch critical defects, avoid costly returns, and maintain your brand’s reputation.

A Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) is an on-site quality control inspection carried out at the factory or warehouse before the goods are shipped. Using random sampling methods based on international standards (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 or ISO 2859-1), it checks the overall quality, conformity, packaging, labeling, and safety of your shipment. Once completed, a detailed inspection report is emailed to you within 24 hours, with a summary presented on-site to the supplier representative.

Our experienced quality inspectors follow a rigorous checklist to ensure everything meets your expectations. Here’s what’s included: ✔️ Quantity Verification Confirm that the correct number of products and cartons are present and ready to ship. ✔️ Product Appearance & Workmanship Check for visible defects, inconsistencies, or poor craftsmanship, categorized as Critical, Major, or Minor. ✔️ Function, Size & Measurement Perform product-specific functional and dimensional tests to confirm conformance to specs. ✔️ Safety & Reliability Tests Conduct basic product testing depending on product type (e.g. odor checks, seam strength, barcode scans, electrical functionality, etc.). ✔️ Packaging & Labeling Checks Review packaging materials, packing methods, labels, barcodes, and shipping marks to prevent customs issues or returns. ✔️ Storage Conditions Ensure your goods are stored in a clean, secure, and suitable environment before shipping. ✔️ Compliance with Custom Requirements Inspect based on any additional quality specifications or documentation provided by you.

🛡️ Protect Your Product & Reputation Avoid shipping defective or non-compliant goods that could lead to returns, chargebacks, or damage to your brand image. 💸 Reduce Import Risks When importing from distant or unfamiliar suppliers, PSI provides peace of mind and control without being on-site. ✅ Ensure Contract Compliance Verify that the final goods match the product specs, quality standards, and labeling agreed upon in your purchase order. 🔍 Identify Defects Before Shipment Catch issues early enough to take corrective action—whether that means repairs, repacking, or halting the shipment. ⏱ Avoid Costly Surprises Prevent delays at destination, avoid customer dissatisfaction, and reduce rework costs by verifying quality before goods leave the factory.

      1. Inspection Scheduling Once you confirm booking and inspection checklist, our coordinators align with your supplier to arrange a suitable inspection date. 2. Quantity Confirmation Inspectors verify the total number of shipping cartons and confirm alignment with your order. 3. Random Sampling & Defect Check (AQL) Products are randomly selected and assessed based on Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) standards. Defects are recorded and categorized for fair, unbiased results. 4. Function & Safety Testing Depending on the product, relevant functional, mechanical, or physical tests are carried out (e.g., seam strength, barcode scan, metal detection, 3M tape test, fatigue test, etc.). 5. Packaging & Product Conformity Review Inspectors assess packaging integrity, labeling accuracy, shipping marks, dimensions, and any other product-specific criteria. 6. Reporting & Summary A field summary is shared with the factory on the same day, followed by a full inspection report - including pass/fail results, detailed photos, and all findings - within 24 hours.
